Home Language International (HLI) is a family-run business offering language courses in more than 20 languages in over 30 countries worldwide, including English lessons at an experienced private teacher's home in UK. More than 5,000 students take advantage of our services every year. Ian Josephs, Danielle Josephs, their 5 adult children and an expert team of dedicated staff all put in very long hours for HLI.
You stay in an experienced teacher's family home, have one-to-one English lessons and then continue to use the language during the rest of your stay in Hastings. Because you are the only student, you are guaranteed individual attention. The lessons are completely designed for you, so the teacher will focus exactly on what you need. Mealtime conversation, television and social contacts are all in English.
All of our teachers in UK have a university degree (or equivalent) and/or a recognised teaching certificate. All teachers have been visited by one of our local organisers. Their qualifications have been checked and their homes throughly inspected. During your stay in Hastings, a local organiser will monitor your progress and make sure your experience is both happy and successful.

Activities and Excursions
Moreover we offer all kinds of activities and excursions to inspire our students and enhance their learning. Hastings is a lovely, lively seaside town on the stunning East Sussex coast. Not only is it rich in culture with many museums, stately homes and art galleries to visit in Hastings and the surrounding area, but it is famous for its live music scene. Also, if you enjoy active living there is golf, tennis and water sports or simply some beautiful coastal walks just 10 minutes drive from the school.
We can also organise singing or pottery lessons, once again a fun and diverting way to practice conversation and sentence structure.
We offer afternoon 'Walking Talking Lessons', taking the lesson away from the desk and screen.
We also offer a tailor-made excursion to London, which will take the whole day.
Buckswood St Georges ligger centralt i Hastings på Englands sydøstlige kyst (solskin), og er nært forbundet med Buckswood Skole blot 15 minutters kørsel derfra.
Vi tilbyder en lang række kurser af kortere kurser i engelsk, at årelang University Foundation Course til en fuld 2 år I B/A-niveau kursus. Vi tilbyder også efterårsferien/ferie kurser og programmer, der er skræddersyet til dine behov.
Buckswood St Georges flyttede i slutningen af 2012, og er nu ideelt placeret til alle de vigtigste faciliteter i byen, den gamle bydel og havet.
Vores to nyrenoverede boliger tilbyder rummelige bolig, velproportioneret undervisningslokaler, IT-suite med gratis wi-fi internet, studieværelser, spisestue, opholdsstue med TV/poolbord/bordtennis/bordfodbold, attraktive haver og udendørs basketballbane. En komplet reference bibliotek ligger 5 minutter væk, og det samme gælder Hastings Universitetscenter og en IELTS test center.
Vi anvender et komplet socialt program, hvor alle studerende er velkomne til at deltage. Vi tilbyder i huset aktiviteter såsom quiz-aftener, film-aftener og temaaftener, og uden ture, måske i biografen, bowling eller minigolf efterfulgt af fish and chips! Full Day weekend arrangeres udflugter til steder som Canterbury, London og Brighton, med halvdagsture på hverdage til rug, kamp eller Eastbourne.
Eleverne kan deltage i en bred vifte af sportsgrene og aktiviteter, der enten kan finde sted på Buckswood campus eller hos lokale idrætshaller, der blandt andet mener ligesom sportsstjerner, svømning eller ridning.
